And one of the things she
had me do was talk about
one of the worst moments
in the sexual assault.
To remember it, to talk about it,
and right after I spoke about it to her
she repeated a sentence
and I had to repeat it.
She said a sentence
and I had to repeat it.
So I'm telling her about
this sexual assault
where I'm choked and I get
hit in the eye in the middle
of the night.
And right afterwards she says you matter.
Say I matter.
And I said it.
It came out of the deep
recesses of my being.
I matter.
It just came out, I matter.
I had never thought of that.
I matter.
And it just kept coming out
and coming out and coming out.
It was one of the most
powerful things that I had
ever felt.
I matter.
I matter.
Yeah, I loved it.
