Is it too late?

Dr. Steven Thorp, Clinical Psychologist, answers common questions about PTSD.

Transcript

You might be wondering if it's too late for you to come in

for treatment, and I can tell you that many of the Veterans

that are in my PTSD clinic and that have been

in my research studies are older adults.

Many of them are in their mid-60s or 70s.

They've had PTSD for sometimes 40 years, and they have

responded really well to the treatments that we've got.

The treatments that we have are very powerful,

and they work well no matter what your age.
