Well, the most challenging thing about
cognitive processing therapy, I think,
is having to come to terms with
the memories.
So instead of trying to forget
or pushing the memories away,
whatever those memories may be,
one of the key issues is
let's talk about some memories
and then let's write about some memories
and let's work through the memories
or a specific memory in various contexts.
So, whereas, I was actively not trying to think about
certain things,
this treatment paradigm
brought me face-to-face with some memories
and then a very specific memory
for the purpose of treatment.
