I got suggested that I should probably go see somebody
when I was in Indiana.
That was our DEMOB site, so I went.
When I got home I went to the VA.
And then when I went and talked to the doctor,
he asked questions such as, "Do you ever drive by things
that remind you of possible triggers?"
Things like that.
The doctor knows what questions to ask.
You're not going in there blind.
He knows what he needs to ask in order to diagnose
or not diagnose, whatever.
But yeah, it actually teaches you a lot about yourself
because I think I probably still wouldn't know that I had it
and I think knowing is probably one of the more important things
about it 'cause you can't prepare
if you don't know what to prepare for.
I would say it is a relief to know.
It's kind of like you don't have to wonder any more.
