I'm sure other Veterans feel the same way, that there's somebody who has got it worse than me.

Josef Hyatt, US Marine Corps 1994 - 2004, talks about why he didn't ask for help with his PTSD right away.

You know, at least for me,

you know as a Veteran sometimes I'm not as receptive

as I probably should be whether it be praise or I don't know,

love, whatever, money, if people want

to help you out or whatever.

We're not the exactly the most receptive people in the world.

It's not 'cause in my case it's not 'cause I'm too good

for it or whatever.

It's just that I always feel,

and I'm sure other Veterans feel the same way that, no,

there's somebody who has always got it worse than me.

And I think that was another reason why I didn't go very long

because it was, "No, there's somebody worse than me."
