I'm still a giver, I'm still a protector, I'm still delivering care.

Dr. Irene Zoesch (US Army, 2014-2018) describes how working with other Veterans helps her remember who she is.

Transcript

Working with veterans.

Continuing to serve.

Serving my community.

Working through the pandemic
as a hospitalist, inpatient.

I've been able to remember that

I'm still a giver
and still a protector.

I'm still delivering care.

The population's
a little different.

And then the other thing
too, is with the

taking back the piece of myself,

I feel, comes back to the...

the flashlight example,
the shining, the light on it.

Is being a advocate
and talking about it

then makes it
so other people can

find some solace, hopefully,
or take that first step

that they need to to reach out
and get the help that they need.
