I'm happy. I feel alive. I feel emotions.

John Angell Jr. (US Marine Corps, 2003 - 2008) talks about how PTSD treatment can help.

Transcript

It's not gone.

It doesn't go away.

The thoughts and the memories of PTSD will remain with me

for the rest of my life.

My ability to overcome the situations that cause me

to act negatively and not beneficial are up to me

and I continue to seek treatment.

I continue to talk about my daily routines, my daily life,

situations that come up that I don't want PTSD to affect.

I want me to make a choice, not my depression to make a choice.

That's why I continue to seek treatment.

That's why I continue to talk

to my psychologist and go to the VA.

I'm happy.

I feel alive.

I feel emotions.

I'm not as cold-hearted.

I'm more emotional but not Elton John emotional,

more like John Lennon emotional.
