Transcript

There were different signs that I can see now,

however when I first came back from my deployment to Iraq,

I was a very different individual.

One person went over and another person came back.

The person who went over to Iraq

was fun and loving and happy

and smiling all the time.

The person that came back was very angry, very isolative.

I didn't wanna leave the house.

I would stay at home with all the lights off,

no TV, no radio, and I would be in my pajamas

for three or four days, didn't brush my teeth,

didn't shower, I didn't care if I ate or not.

And my husband is the one who said,

"Penny, we've gotta do something about this."
