I would see people that remind me of these men…

My military sexual trauma
ended up in me having,

being diagnosed with PTSD

and I knew it because

the fears I had of security in my home

of not being able to go
in small spaces with like,

if I would see people that
would remind me of these men,

or like still now,

I don't like maybe like cable people

or somebody coming over
here if it's a man,

if my husband's not
home, things like that,

I'm just very hypervigilant
about things like that,

but I've gotten a lot
better over the years so.
