If you're struggling with a family member, the first thing

I'm going to say is I would do everything I could

to get them into treatment.

And sometimes that might mean

doing something you don't want to do.

Everybody's situation is different, but for example, if they

get violent and they refuse to go to treatment,

you may have to call the authorities, and this might be

one way to get them into treatment.

Or you know, you may have to call the ambulance

if something's happened like that, that might be

another way to get them in if they just totally refuse to go.

Otherwise, education and patience.

Find out as much about PTSD as you can

to understand it, and be patient.

It's not something that was caused overnight,

and it's not going to be fixed overnight.
