I was scared, a little bit nervous.

Kevin Cottrell (US Army, 1980 - 2008) talks about what PTSD treatment was like.

Transcript

Jason was at the Albany VA system and he was able to,

I was scared, a little bit nervous and he was able

to relax me enough to start coming out of my shell.

And basically now I can go in there and know

that whatever I say is not off the record,

but it's totally open to whatever he wants to hear,

he's willing to hear everything from my daily problems

to what's still reoccurring.

He's always asking the question, "Well, how can you do this?

This is happening."

He makes you think how to help yourself

at the same time not just, "So you need to do this."

He's like, "Well, you need to think about this

and if you think about it, what do you come up with?"

And that's what I like about Jason.

He's really good about that.
