I replaced [people] with negative thoughts, negative feelings…

Michael Hardiman (US Army, 1970-1974) shares how he stopped doing the things that gave meaning to his life.

Transcript

When I came home, I no
longer attended choir practice.

I no longer did Bible school
and book studies,

and I was not close to anyone,

even though some of the members
were still there

and there were some new members.

I just

never gave them an opportunity
to enter back into my life.

I replaced them with negative
thoughts,

negative feelings,

trying to figure out

what did I
do wrong to deserve all this.
