It was hard.
But as I did it, as I did these things that
were so very, very difficult -- first you feel worse,
and my doctor told me that I would.
No surprise there, I really did.
She said that lots of people want to quit,
and I probably would have if I'd thought
I had any other options, but I'd quit once already
and started to get worse in the next few months.
I knew I had to finish.
I might not get better, but I didn't have any other options.
So I pushed through it, and finally then
I really did feel better.
And now, thinking about that terrible experience
isn't any fun, but I don't have flashbacks of that anymore.
