I probably was a little bit worried about

the perceptions and what it would, what effect it would have

on me being able to go to the next rank.

As it turns out, nobody knew about it

unless I told them about it.

I'm a Colonel in the United States Air Force.

If I can step up to the plate and say,

"I suffer from it, and I'm seeking help," then that,

my hope was it would help and generate

the younger folks in the military who

didn't know if they were suffering but felt that they were

to say, "Look, the old man stepped up, why can't we step up?"

You know, and that's another big reason why I did it.
