I never wanted to go to the Walmart or anything...

Arthur Jefferson, US Army 1978 - 1998, talks about how he knew he had PTSD.

Transcript

I never wanted to go to the Walmarts and anything.

If I needed something from the store I have to go on the base

because that's where I felt comfortable at.

I felt comfortable around military,

and if it wasn't military, I didn't feel comfortable.

That's where I was at my best,

when I was back around my peers.

Even after I had retired from the military,

I just felt comfortable being on a military installation,

being around soldiers.

That's where I was comfortable at.
