Jim Moorman, US Marine Corps 1963 - 1971, talks about how his PTSD affected his loved ones.

Transcript

Well, it definitely affected the raising of my kids.

I was very much of a disciplinarian.

I was a very selfish person.

I wanted to do what I wanted to do.

I never really let my first wife to get close to me per se.

I guess, I never had the closeness that I have with

my wife now, and I didn't trust that I could tell her things,

what was happening, or let her get that close to me

because I wasn't going to become vulnerable.
