I know she's ashamed of what happened.

Transcript

I know she's ashamed of what

happened to her, her cause of PTSD.

I also know that she's a very strong-willed person,

and she don't want people to think that they can just

do whatever and walk over her, so to admit to anybody

that somebody else had done that,

I'm sure that was tough for her.

And she may have not known what services were out there

to even help, I don't know, because it's not something that's

advertised at all, really, until just recently.

I mean, I went through my whole military career,

and I wouldn't have, I didn't ever think about any of this.

You watch a 15-minute video once a year

that basically mocks the whole military rape situation.

When you watch it, I mean, it's the butt of all jokes

after you watch it for the next three months,

and that is your yearly

sexual assault and prevention training there.

So that is why she may have not gone earlier.

I mean, where do you go for something like that?
