I know she's ashamed of what
happened to her, her cause of PTSD.
I also know that she's a very strong-willed person,
and she don't want people to think that they can just
do whatever and walk over her, so to admit to anybody
that somebody else had done that,
I'm sure that was tough for her.
And she may have not known what services were out there
to even help, I don't know, because it's not something that's
advertised at all, really, until just recently.
I mean, I went through my whole military career,
and I wouldn't have, I didn't ever think about any of this.
You watch a 15-minute video once a year
that basically mocks the whole military rape situation.
When you watch it, I mean, it's the butt of all jokes
after you watch it for the next three months,
and that is your yearly
sexual assault and prevention training there.
So that is why she may have not gone earlier.
I mean, where do you go for something like that?
