The stress on a relationship with PTSD,
it's just another facet of our life that we have to deal with.
You know, it's just like having kids and dogs.
It's just there.
You know it's going to be there.
I know every February is the worst month for Stacy
because that's when a lot of her friends died.
So I try to prepare for that.
Like, "What do we need to do?
Keep her distracted.
Do we need to go somewhere that's not going to be a trigger,
that's going to trigger her emotions?"
But I know it's just something that, in time,
that she will learn to just let it heal.
Not that she'll get over it, but she can deal with it better.
