I knew that I had struggles.

When did I know I needed help?

I'm not sure I knew I needed help until

probably December of 2007,

which would have been two years after coming home.

I don't think I could have phrased it

in terms of "I need help," until that point.

I knew that I had struggles,

things that bothered me or troubled me,

but if, for instance, I don't like

the noise associated with fireworks,

then I don't go observe fireworks.

So that's kind of the simplistic mindset I had.
