I wanted to die 'cause I couldn't get a job,

I was in pain.

I didn't want to be bothered by with anybody.

My life was falling apart, my wife, my kids, nobody wanted

to be bothered with me.

Nobody would hire me and I just felt hopeless and just felt

that hey, I was just useless.

And I was like, "Man, I got to do something."

I went to the AMVETS and I got a lot of help.

I mean, I got so much help from them

that I'm now an AMVETS member.

And we do a lot of things in the community as far

as helping the kids in the community and the high school

and the kindergarten kids.

The AMVETS get involved with the community

and that's what I really, really like.
