I hope to be an example for

other leaders because it's hard.

And the more

we promote, the harder

it is to admit the problems

that we have, the more shameful

it is to admit that

we have trauma or

we have issues,

or we have embarrassing

pasts or shameful experiences.

It's harder

to put that information out

there because it's

embarrassing or it's shameful.

But if we don't

put ourselves out there

and show who we really are

and the resources

that we've used to be successful

today, then subordinate

leaders, other soldiers

maybe won't know

that there's hope for issues.

They don't have to

keep this to themselves.

They can still

promote and progress

amidst these challenges.

I hope one day to be that,

I hope every day

that I'm that example.
