I have to do something about this, because it's breaking up my wife and I.

Richard Sell, US Air Force 1958 - 1967, talks about when he knew he needed to get help for PTSD.

Transcript

I was upset at my wife, irritable at her,

and we both agreed that I had to do something.

So we knew of a PTSD program at the

Carl Hayden Hospital, here in Phoenix.

We went in and talked to two nurses there, and on the spot they

evaluated me, that I had PTSD, and they says,

"You should get in the program,"

and I says, "Yes, I have to do something about this

because it's breaking up my wife and I."

And from that point on, I got signed up

within two months starting the program, I think,

and went through a class from

probably February of that year to June.
