I had one gentleman who came in the VA system
and he was in his 70s, and he had had PTSD for decades.
One of his primary complaints was that
his anxiety got so high that it was hard for him to breath.
It was hard for him to even make it
from the parking lot into the VA hospital.
And he and I worked together for about three months, and he
worked really hard at the treatment, he did his homework.
And what was nice for me is I got to see this change in him,
and he saw the change, too, where not only was he
feeling better in terms of sleeping better, having fewer
nightmares, being able to relate to his wife better,
but he was actually breathing better.
Some of his physical symptoms improved
over the course of this treatment.
And this is a guy that I still get postcards from
now at the VA, years after the treatment.
This is a good sign, this is nice to see.
