I remember the teachings that
my grandmother taught me,
about prayer and having faith
and hope and and also you know,
being an educated person and ask questions
and seek out answers.
That's that's how I grew up
from her and just be very vocal.
And so I took those.
And then the treatment I had at the VA,
I had to learn how to trust people.
I had to learn how to be
open and vocal with them.
And I just kind of took
those both together
and I became this very vocal person
that was not only advocating
for myself and what I needed,
advocating for other people.
