I felt like exposing what I've been going through... people would think I was weak.

Eddie Hoffman, US Marine Corps, 2001 - 2010, talks about why he didn't ask for help with his PTSD right away.

I think that was one of
the biggest things for me,

was the judgment part.

I felt like exposing what
I had been going through,

what I had went through or
talking about my emotions

and all that that
I'd be judged,

other people would
think I was weak,

other people would agree
with the way I felt

about myself

and that just wasn't the
case and I started to feel,

I had more confidence in
those that were

working with me

and that gave me a lot
more strength

to actually get through the
treatment that they

provided me.
