He doesn't have as many "irrational" thoughts,

and I feel I can tell him things

that maybe I couldn't tell him before

in the fear of either him overreacting

or cranking me up to the point where I would overreact.

Sometimes the best thing in a time of crisis

is a calming voice, and I, for a long time, never thought that

I'd ever be able to say that about my father.

He's the first when I call, now,

when I'm ready to lose my mind, he's the first one I call.
