I fell in love with him before this all blew up,
so I knew this sweet, gentle man, and even when he was
very angry, it was never directed at me.
It was around me, and there were some times that it was
really hard just to be around it because I don't like conflict,
I don't like trouble, so it was, you know...
But underneath it, I knew that wasn't who he really was,
and he was always fighting so hard, he hated that
about himself, he was trying to get that under control.
So I always had hope that he would get it under control.
