I distanced myself from people.
I felt very comfortable when I was on a military installation
versus when I was just out in the civilian area.
I never let my guards down when I was out in a civilian area.
But when I was on a military base, I felt back at home.
They had my six covered, and when I say they had my six,
it's a term in the military, they had my back.
But that was all the effects of the PTSD from the trauma
that I experienced, it just caused me to draw in.
And that was uncomfortable, but I had,
there was no relief, I mean, I didn't know what to do.
