I did blame myself a lot.

Edward Noftell (former partner of a Veteran with PTSD) talks about what it's like to live with someone who has PTSD.

Did I ever blame myself?

In the beginning of the relationship, all the time.

I just didn't think we were right together

because I didn't understand so much.

I thought I was completely different, the way I was thinking,

because of what she was doing.

So yes, I did blame myself a lot.

But after time and just a lot of talking,

a lot of discussions with her friends,

and I could see it's not me.

You know, I have my own issues, but I could see

what she was dealing with is not from me.

It's something bigger, you know, something more.
