His friends didn't understand a lot of what had happened
and why he had changed so much,
so his friends kind of started pulling away from him.
When he got back from Iraq, he was angry all the time,
just at everything, he would snap at everything.
And so, we'd be with friends and something would trigger him,
and he'd just snap, and it was weird.
And so, we really, kind of, only went out with friends
that were fellow military with us
because they understood if we suddenly had to leave,
or if he was uncomfortable in a situation,
or if his anxiety got the better of him.
So, our friend dynamic changed a lot over the years.
