He seems a lot happier, where that he's content to let go.
I think that's an important thing, is to be able to let go.
It was a traumatic time in his life.
He was a young man.
A lot of the guys, my father's friends, feel like
it was the prime time of their life that they were
fighting a war, and you have to let go of that pain,
and I think that with the VA, that he's been able to do that.
And it has unburdened him of some of that,
I wouldn't say guilt, but pain that he's had,
the trauma of it all.
So I think that he feels like
it's a lighter burden that he has now.
You know, it's just enjoying his family, just having fun,
watching his ballgames, playing pinochle, just enjoying life.
So I think he is happier, he seems happier.
