When I first met him, he was living in this little house
in Windsor, you know, I mean,
just like your typical Veteran, closed off from everybody.
You know, he had the long beard,
and it's amazing that we ever got together.
And I look back at those days when he was so secluded
up there, and he just blossomed from there.
And I think, definitely, it was due to the VA
and our relationship.
