He realized that he could help other people.

I think he was able to talk more freely,

certainly more freely about his experience,

and not have it, you know, sort of consume him

or make himself fearful as a result

of thinking about it or talking about it.

And I think, ultimately, he was able to not only

deal with it himself, but I think he was then able to help

other Veterans who were dealing with these issues as well.

And I think that was as much therapeutic

for him as anything else.

And when he realized that he could help other people,

he was more than willing to do it on multiple occasions.
