PTSD is very serious.

It can really disrupt someone's life.

It can really stop someone in their tracks

from the life they envisioned for themselves.

It can cause so much trouble in families

because someone is so distracted by their PTSD.

Having PTSD takes so much energy, it's exhausting.

A person's always on guard,

you're not sleeping, you're irritable.

It makes it hard to work.

It makes it hard to be the parent you might want to be,

the partner you want to be, the husband or wife.

It's very disruptive, it's very serious.
