Going to the PTSD group, and some of the guys got me out of the trouble.

Jerry Reed (US Army, 1979 - 1984) talks about how PTSD treatment can help.

Transcript

I like PTSD group and I like anger management.

My life has really changed since I've been in those groups.

The groups helped.

I don't think the doctors did it,

but I do think those groups did it.

Without those groups, I don't think, I would probably not,

I probably, I know I wouldn't be here right now.

No, I know I wouldn't, because I tried to commit suicide twice

and I really wanted to go.

And they asked me, "Am I suicidal?"

I'm like, "Not only am I, I felt suicidal,

but I felt homicidal too.

And even got into some trouble with courts and all that

and thank God, going to the PTSD group and some

of the guys got me out of the trouble 'cause I probably

wouldn't be here talking to you guys right now.

Probably be in jail facing about seven years, yeah.
