Go in and talk to somebody.

Dr. Tonya Masino, Psychiatrist, shares advice for people who may be concerned about PTSD.

Transcript

If you think that you might have PTSD, I think it's good

to go in and talk to somebody and ask the question.

Some people have symptoms and may not meet criteria

for PTSD specifically, but that doesn't necessarily mean

that they wouldn't benefit from getting help anyway.

PTSD is an anxiety disorder, and you can have anxiety

symptoms without meeting clinical criteria for PTSD,

but that doesn't mean that you won't benefit

from getting treatment or getting help

because anxiety, depression, other things that we see often

go along with PTSD can also cause problems.
