I think that it's important for a person to show that they

care about the person who has PTSD, to show their support.

I know for my husband, showing my support has helped him

feel like I'm involved in participating in his classes.

He would come home from his classes, he would share

about what they did that particular day

and what they talked about, and it would help me feel like

I was participating with him and would help re-remind him

that he had homework to do.

Our children would also, since they both live out of state,

they would either email or call about once a month

to check up and see how their father was doing,

and that meant a lot to him.

So I think it's very important that family members,

and even a couple of our friends and relatives

have done the same thing, have checked in with Bill

to see how he's doing.

So I think it's really important.
