Coming to see a psychiatrist and finding medication that can
help with some of the symptoms of PTSD
can be very meaningful for some people.
Often people tell me that they are feeling less irritable,
more energetic, certainly less depressed,
and that can really increase your ability to really do things
that you want to be doing, to engage in things
that you enjoy, to connect with your family,
sometimes to go back to school, for example,
or be able to tolerate being at work all day.
And so there can be, for some people, a lot of benefits to
having symptoms improved with medication
when it comes to treating PTSD.
