Find someone and talk to them.

James Monk, US Air Force 1988 - 2011, shares his advice for others who may be concerned about PTSD.

Transcript

I know what it's like to be carrying around a ton of stuff

and not talking to people about it.

And if you find yourself in that position,

find someone and talk to them.

If it's a friend, if it's a spouse, if it's a doctor,

if it's a co-worker that understands a little bit about

what you've been through, find someone and talk to them

because in sorting through some of that junk,

you may find yourself at the point where you can

actually reach out for specific and qualified help.

If you don't put that stuff down, you will be in trouble.
