Everybody I talked to at the beginning of the process was very helpful.

Brad Seitz (US Marine Corps, 2002 - 2005) talks about what PTSD treatment was like.

Transcript

The first time I walked into the VA to get help,

I felt, I wasn't scared.

I felt at ease because I was actually going to receive help

and everybody I talked to at the beginning

of the process was very helpful.

They answered all my questions.

They were even there to help me kind of make sure I filled

out the forms right and everything

to get the ball rolling.

The first sessions I went to were mainly just to kind

of tell my side of the story to my doctor and explain

to her what I went through and kind of what I was feeling

and what I was going through in my emotions.

As the time went on, I did the group therapy sessions

and I feel like those helped me more just

because there was other Marines and other military members there

that kind of went through the same thing that I did.
