I think there are so many misconceptions about PTSD,

and they can be portrayed in the media.

And one of the biggest misconceptions about PTSD

is that people with PTSD are violent

or they're dangerous criminals,

and this couldn't be farther from the truth.

Most people with PTSD are not violent criminals,

and most people who are violent criminals do not have PTSD.

And, of course, there are exceptions to every rule,

but there's no reason to fear being around people with PTSD.
