You know, definitely get the help before it's too late.

On July of last year of 2010, one of my soldiers,

I pushed pretty hard to try to getting him into the VA

and he fought me and fought me.

Said, "I'll handle it my way.

Everybody handles it their own way.

I don't need to go to the VA for the help.

" And he never would come in, kept drinking

and living a wild life.

And on July 30th last year, he ended up killing himself.

To me it hurt because I tried so hard to get him the help

and suicide is not answer.

He had a seven year old daughter, his wife was pregnant

with another child that was born a couple of months

after he killed himself.

If you could actually see the reaction,

if he had seen the reactions of his mom, his dad, his sister,

his wife and his seven year old daughter,

I think he would totally take it back,

because it totally crushed them.
