Once our children found out that their dad had PTSD,
they both shared with me that growing up,
they now understood why their father had behaved
certain ways that they had not understood.
They had shared with their friends certain behaviors
that their dad had done when they had been out with their
father when I wasn't present that they were confused about
and they didn't understand and had always questioned
and thought odd and strange, and now they understood
why their dad had behaved that way.
