My advice to other veterans is,
you know, you have your eagle right here, your pride,
and it's very hard to swallow it.
Trust me, I know,
but somehow you gotta swallow your pride
and you gotta ask for help, because
PTSD is not curable, but it's controllable.
And I'm proof of that because
I have my family back,
I have my friends,
and I'm starting to get an education,
and I have a place to live, I'm not homeless.
So I think every veteran should
give the benefit of the doubt to the counselors
to talk to them in order to
control what they're feeling,
because I was in your shoes eight years ago,
and I can say now that
I'm a lot better than what I was
back then, before treatment.
