Transcript

It is OK to get treatment from the VA.

You need to go to the VA, they can help.

My husband, Josh, has come a long way

from when he first came home.

Things seemed hopeless at first, and we didn't know

where our life was going, but we got treatment.

We talked about it.

Talking about it can go a long way.

Talk to your friends, talk to your neighbors,

talk to your family.

Let them know how you're feeling, and it's just OK.

Tell your Veteran that it's OK, tell them often.

Repeat it over and over again, "It's OK, I understand."

Make sure you study PTSD so that you

know what those symptoms are

so that you can help them through it.

You can let him know, "This is a symptom of PTSD.

This is why you are feeling this way.

Nothing is wrong with you, it's the PTSD."

You can get help for it.

Talk about it.

Seek help from the VA, seek help from other Veterans,

and things will get better.
