I was surprised by the diagnosis because number one,
the first unofficial diagnosis came
from the Special Forces soldier that I just gotten done fighting
with and he was like, "Hey, you got the shakes.
You got the symptoms."
And immediately after that I thought, "Hey, you know,
this is something that everybody gets.
OK. But I don't have it that bad.
Everybody gets it and it goes away after six months."
Well then when I got back to the United States and I'm trying
to be a normal American again after six months
when those symptoms didn't all go away or they kept coming back
up every three to five months at first, I realized, hey,
that this is a little more severe than I thought it was.
And that actually surprised me,
that I couldn't just bounce back without any effort.
